Dan Guerra, Psy.D. work is based in New York City and The Hudson Valley, New York although he has traveled through over 50+ countries around the globe, providing several international seminars and workshops. He draws upon his experience as an adventure traveler, executive coach, and psychotherapist to address topics ranging from leadership development, positive neuroscience, social-emotional learning, mindfulness based approaches to wellness, and trauma-informed practices for psychological and emotional healing.
Dan’s style has been described as engaging, empathic, energetic, and dynamic. His presentations often involve active audience member participation, making his workshops and talks more meaningful and memorable. With a focus on transfer of learning, Dan almost always includes experiential practices in his keynote speeches and lectures, focusing on the belief that we retain more of what we do than what we hear.
Through everything from one hour lectures to full day workshops Dan has been a pioneer in the teaching and demonstrating of many complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) approaches to reducing anxiety and depression. He has also leveraged CAM approaches grounded in emotional intelligence and reflection as a leadership skill to address important issues related to leadership development and challenges that corporations and other organizations face.
